Ian McNeese
Front Ensemble Coordinator
Ian McNeese is a full time music educator in Catoosa County, Georgia at Woodstation Elementary School. There, his students participate in a robust, Orff centric music program with after school music ensembles and school wide music showcases. In addition to his duties as an elementary music teacher, Ian is the assistant percussion director and sound designer with the Bands of America Grand National Semifinalist Signal Mountain Marching Band. The Signal Mountain Marching Band is a highly competitive program that captured the Tennessee State Division II High Percussion Award in 2024.
For his undergraduate studies, Ian attended The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he earned a Bachelor's in music education. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in music education at the University of West Georgia. When performing with the Chattanooga Independent Percussion Ensemble, Ian earned a silver medal at the WGI World Championships. As a sound designer, Ian has curated a catalog of music that has amassed 1 million plays. Currently, Ian resides in the Chattanooga area with his wife, Katie.
